Overview And Experience
Harley is a dedicated family lawyer who brings broad experience and a client-centred approach to the Aston Legal Group Team. Harley holds a Bachelor of Laws and Arts from Deakin University and was admitted to practice in October 2022. Since commencing his legal career, Harley has practiced in a range of legal areas, including criminal, civil, commercial, and conveyancing, prior to devoting himself to family law. While Harley is now primarily focussed on parenting matters and property settlements, as well as everything in-between, he often acts for clients in relation to family violence intervention orders.
Representative Experience
Harley guides clients through complex legal matters with clarity and care. He appreciates that legal issues, particularly family law matters, often come with considerable stress and uncertainty, and ensures that clients are well informed and supported at every stage of the process. Harley’s diverse experience and clear communication allows him to deliver efficient, tailored advice, with a strong commitment to achieving the best and most cost-effective outcome for every client.
Harley regularly appears in the Magistrates’ Court and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, instructs barristers in more complex hearings, and assists clients through mediation and alternative dispute resolution. Where litigation is unavoidable, Harley is a determined advocate for his client’s interests.
Personal Life
Outside the office, Harley is passionate about sport and fitness. Harley has played soccer at a competitive level since 2007, including at several Melbourne clubs and on tours overseas, albeit he has now hung up the boots. He also holds a black belt in Taekwondo and often trains in other Martial Arts. These sporting commitments have led Harley to be disciplined, communicative, and a team player, ultimately contributing to his development in family law.
